From a cellar more than a century old, comes some lively fruit, preferred by the modern palate for its immediate drinking. The tone in the glass is deep ruby with violet hints, offering a complex, intense bouquet of blackberries, plums and spice. The wine is almost perfectly balanced for the ideal impression of the Barbera grape, as the 2009 harvest resulted in just a touch less acidity than is typical. Round, harmonious and complex with an upfront pleasurably ripe fruit while still classy and finessed. Another marker Ascheri who is continually catching the eye of critics internationally.
